Get to Know Emily

Emily Schwabe is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Mental Performance Consultant® (CMPC), having earned her master's degree in clinical mental health counseling at Marquette University and a master's degree in sport and exercise psychology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Emily provides both mental health and mental performance services to youth, young adults, and adults. She specializes in sport performance, confidence, anxiety, depression, recovery from injury, stress, trauma, grief, and life transitions.

Emily strives to create a safe, inclusive, and trusting environment where clients can be authentic and work collaboratively toward their goals. Grounded in values of respect, compassion, authenticity, and flexibility, she takes a holistic, integrative approach that honors the connection between mind, body, and spirit while considering each client’s unique identity, values, and relationships. 

With experience as a youth and Division I collegiate athlete, a decade of swim coaching, and advanced training in clinical mental health counseling and sport and exercise psychology, Emily has a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by student-athletes and non-athletes alike. She is passionate about helping individuals strengthen their “inner edge,” build confidence, and reach their full potential in both sport and life.
